ST-Expo-1

I created this spy drone for my universe. It's produced by the company SternTech. The drone is called ST-Expo-1, which stands for SternTech Exploration One. It's the first of its kind and is used for spying on forest-like planets.

With this ArtStation post, I am showing the process I went through to create this robot. The software I used during the process includes Photoshop, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and Lightroom. The environment is created mostly using Quixel Bridge, and the platform the mech is standing on is made by me.

Before I started this project, I created some learning goals. I wanted to get better at ZBrush, creating cleaner sculpts and refining my process. I also wanted to improve my concepting skills and my rendering skills in Unreal. During the process, I realized I was missing some fundamentals, such as composition and perspective skills, so I also did some studies.

I think the final result is pretty good. I learned a lot from this project, and I will surely take those skills to my next project.
